The reason behind this? For years I have calibrated on a more or less regular basis my LaCie screen with Pantone Spider & Optical. Very good software for color calibration. However, if you use the standard procedure (in stead of the "precision" mode) you (can) get a completely exagerated contrast on your screen, which no one else has on his screen... So everybody sees your pictures with a lot less contrast than yourself. Which is disastrous. Especially if you send some portfolio pictures to Photo Editors, Art Directors & the like.
Arrrggghhh. I am gonna drown myself. And then I am gonna get it all fixed.
To tell you how bad it was. Untill 10 minutes ago, I thought the background of the Strobist blog was black, because on my screen it was, well, euh.... black. And now I discover it is grey?! I mean, am I stupid?!? I am afraid dear, that yes, you are.
Voor diegenen die (enkel) geïnteresseerd zijn in mijn Buren project, en niet in al dit onnozel technisch gezever : mijn excuses.

Just added a link at the bottom of this blog to a simple site which helps you to check & adjust the contrast & brightness of your screen. So that everybody can see the pictures on screen (more or less) as I see them on mine.
